Greenback Advanced Plastic Recycling
Greenback Advanced Plastic Recycling (formerly Enval) is a London-based advanced recycling company. It uses microwave-induced pyrolysis technology, originally developed at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Chemical Engineering, to recycle hard-to-recycle flexible plastic packaging, including plastic–aluminium laminates. The process turns the plastic into a pyrolysis oil that can supply recycled content for new food-grade packaging, and it also recovers the aluminium. Greenback acquired Enval in September 2023.
