Q&A with angel investor George Whitehead
March 9, 2020
George Whitehead is a partner at the Angel CoFund, which was set up in 2011. The Sheffield-based fund has invested about £50m in more than 90 start-ups, including the meal-kit service Gousto and Hopster, a TV app for young children.
The Angel CoFund invests alongside syndicates of individuals. It has seen successful exits from businesses such as the corporate caterer City Pantry and the fintech developer Ebury. Whitehead, 43, was formerly at Octopus Ventures and the Venture Capital Trust Association.
